Homemade Pizza



Since the coronavirus has everything locked down in South Africa, and I can't help my cravings, I thought that it would be a good time to make some pizza at home. 
Now with everything that's being said, I'm not claiming to be an expert cook, so I tried my best to replicate what looks like a pizza.

The recipe I use for the pizza base (dough) is from Sally's baking addiction, and I'll link everything down below.

Pizza Base Ingredients
  • 1 and 1/3 cups (320ml) warm water (between 100-110°F, 38-43°C)
  • 2 and 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast (1 standard packet)*
  • 1 Tablespoon (13g) granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 and 1/2 cups (440g) all-purpose flour, plus more for hands and surface
  • sprinkle of cornmeal/flour for dusting the pan.

Pizza Sauce Ingredients     
    177.1 g tomato paste
    428.1 g tomato sauce
    1-2.1 TBS oregano to taste
    2.1 TBS Italian seasoning
    0.5 tsp garlic powder
    0.5 tsp onion powder
    0.5 TBS garlic salt
    0.3 tsp black pepper
     1 tsp sugar
