Detox Through Juicing: Green Detox Smoothie
This Green Smoothie falls part of the healthy smoothie mini-series
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 cups water/ coconut water
- 1/2 frozen pineapples
- 1/2 cup avocado
- 1/2 celery rib/stalk
- 1/8 inch ginger = 1/2 tsp
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
To make this more carb friendly you could substitute the pineapple for any low carb star fruit. The avocado could also be substituted for green grapes.
NB: If you do not like freezing your fruit, you could add a 1/2 cup of ice. And, if you need to add more sweetness use honey.
Instructions:
Throw all your fruit into the blender or food processor with 1 cup of the water/coconut water.
Use the other cup of water/coconut water, to gauge the consistency of your smoothie.
Blend until everything is well combined and then enjoy.
